See Wild Swan Theater’s “Drum Me A Story”

Anansi 300Tickets  are going so fast, we now only have them  available for the February 12th noon and February 13th 11am shows for “Drum Me A Story.” This delightful collection of African tales was selected and developed for children ages 3 through 9 and is 45 minutes in length. These humorous stories, including two different Anansi stories illustrating the cleverness of Anansi the spider man and “How the Turtle Got Its Shell,” will be performed through storytelling, acting, and drumming.  Special enrichment activities after the Saturday performance will be provided by Leslie Science & Nature Center – LSNC.  Purchase tickets online or at the door.  All performances at Towsley Auditorium, Morris Lawrence Building, Washtenaw Community College.

ADA Legacy Tour and “Frog and Toad” Arrive July 21st!

On July 21st we will be commemorating the 25th anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) with a special production of Frog and Toad. We will be participating in the ADA Legacy Bus Tour, which is taking place in Shed #3 at Eastern Market, 2934 Russell Street, Detroit.  All activities are free and will be offered from 9:30am-3:30pm.  At 2:00 pm, Frog and Toad will be performed simultaneously in spoken English and American Sign Language with a blended cast of Deaf and hearing actors including Deaf actor Rosina Switras, hearing actors Sandy Ryder and Michelle Trame Lanzi, ASL shadow interpreter Shelly Tocco, voice-over actor Courtney Butcher, and musician David Mosher.
